Chateau La Bastide Corbieres Rouge
Chateau La Bastide, in the northern tip of Corbieres just south of neighbouring Minervois, was built in around 1770 and has been producing wine ever since. This is classic Corbieres (the original GSM blend), typically rugged but full of deep, brooding fruit with notes of garrigue herbs and some peppery spice. This is aged for 12 months before bottling but with no oak, preserving the ripe, fresh fruit.
