Fiona Leroy, Maranges 1er Cru 'Le Clos des Loyères'

£41.00

This is Fiona Leroy's first vintage from her organic 2.7 hectare domaine in the tiny - and ecologically diverse - village of Dezize-Les-Maranges at the most southerly point of the Cote de Beaune in Burgundy. She does everything by hand, only using a small caterpillar tractor to plough the soil when needed. The wine is supple, light on it's feet and full of concentration. Violets, rose, strawberries and a darker cassis note come through on the nose and palate.
