PETER SISSECK PSI Ribera del Duero
PSI is a smooth, fresh and elegant Tempranillo with the tiniest splash of Grenache. Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck’s Pingus revolutionised Spanish wine, placing it right up there alongside the Super Tuscans and Bordeaux’s First Growths.Having set the benchmark for Ribera del Duero’s reds, Peter Sisseck decided to try and raise the bar for everyone in the region that welcomed him so warmly, by creating the side project PSI in 2007. The newest edition to the Dominio de Pingus stable, PSI uses surplus Tempranillo fruit gathered from old vines throughout the region, which have been grown by locals who lack the means to make their own wines.
