Roger Sabon, Le Sabounet Rouge

£11.50

The main feature of Le Sabounet is its fruity character allied to youthful freshness and smooth elegance. It is a wine made to be consumed in its youth. The grape varieties are the traditional Rhône staples mainly Grenache Syrah & Cinsault. The wine is matured in traditional tanks for about 8 days. There is daily temperature checking and remontage (wine is drained out of the bottom of its tank pumped up to the top and sprayed over the skins).
An incredibly fresh bouquet with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and a hint of spice. It is both elegant and fresh on the palate with great balance of fruit and lush ripe tannins.
