Valpolicella Classico Superiore Terre di Cariano Cecilia Beretta
This winery in the heart of Valpolicella Classico was named after a stunning, 17th century villa once owned by poet Giuseppe Beretta. The owners use modern techniques and indigenous varieties, combining tradition with innovation. One hundred per cent local Corvina grape, this Valpolicella is dark in colour, almost purple, and has an abundance of ripe cherry fruit, cigar smoke and cinnamon on the nose with more cherry on the palate, plus dark chocolate and warming peppery spice to balance out the slight sweetness of the fruit. Silky-smooth in the long finish.
